1011:Intro to Murphy EICS
1101 Intro to Murphy EICS
Murphy provides an extensive three day class for the EICS system. A history of the product gives great insight into how EICS was developed and leads into the nuts and bolts of the system. Estis participated in the program in the early days and quickly realized the value of EICS to our fleet.
Murphy has conducted an aggressive research and development campaign to make sure that the system meets the ever changing demands of the environment in which it operates. Because of the constant upgrades and changes to the system, an ongoing training program is a must. Estis and Murphy strive to put on as many classes as we can add to the calendar.
This class begins with the components and how they are integrated to control the operation of the engine. Each component is described and the way is performs its job is discussed. That discussion includes possible problems that may occur and how to troubleshoot these events.
The composition of the fuel gas in the Shale zones that our units must burn is one of the reasons that EICS has become one of the leading comprehensive controllers in our market. Technicians in this class will learn the importance of a fuel gas analysis and how to input this information into EICS so that the engine can perform safely and efficiently while at the same time meeting or exceeding emission standards.
There are many features of EICS that the technician can access through the control display or a laptop computer to be able to see in real time all the functions that are being controlled. The class covers thoroughly how to use the system to troubleshoot problems or download segments of the run history and send it to Murphy so that they can help solve these issues.
The students are given the link cable to hook up to the module and a thumb drive with all the information that has been presented in this class.
