The Cat Mechanic Level 1 class will be conducted at the Midland Training Center in the Estis Regional Complex. This is a three day class that will be taught by Caterpillar instructors. The classes will begin on Tuesday and run through Thursday starting at 8AM each day.

The course will focus on the two main Cat engines in our fleet, the 3300’s and 3400’s. The topics covered will include;

• Information systems such as Gerp, SIS and Cat ET.
• Fuels and their combustion principles.
• System components.
• Operations and Maintenance.
• Electrical applications on the engines.
• What tools help make the job easier, and how to use them.

The student must receive written permission from their immediate supervisor to be able to attend this course. The proper PPE must be worn during the lab portion of the training
